This is the project of furniture design and entire interior design for the mobile IT company office.  The total floor space is approximately 2200 square meters, and this floor size allows to create open-style office which consists of the common space including the reception and conference rooms as well as office area for nearly 400 employees.  The existing rectangular floor plan could be filled with desks efficiently to provide required numbers of desks, however such planning will end up just a series of same scenery in the office.

First, we started from arranging bench-type desks in a large unit for each department, then lining them up diagonally against the rectangle space.  By this arrangement, irregular void spaces are created between furniture and walls or windows, functioning as unique meeting spaces where employees can communicate freely, and make their office environment very interactive.

As for storage,  “Landmark Shelves” which symbolize natural scenery are placed randomly in the space between departments or meeting space.  These shelves can be seen as “imaginary scenery” from employees’ perspective from their seating position, and also they are functioning as noticable signs in this whole floor plan.

The storage furniture for the office is usually considered as substantial item, in most cases, it is blended with the wall so the volume of the furniture will not stand out, however with this project, the storage furniture is playing the leading role in a unique way.
