Three small different-sized boxes are stuck up, with a little gap and steps just like topography. Then it is covered by a white steel sheet, and the whole volume is lifted up with legs to form compact storage furniture.  This design was started from my “question” about storage furniture, which often made as a simple box for storing things without thinking.
The idea is that the shape of furniture will not decide what to store, but first there is a shape designed with expression, and that makes users want to think what to store inside.
“Lono” is inviting users to imagine how to use it, and its unique form is meant to be “gestures”, giving a good chance to reconsider the relationship between users and furniture.
