The timber is the oldest material for making a chair, and even now, it is still the main material for producing everyday use furniture, however, the technology of timber processing is evolving continuously.
For this chair, I have focused on the possibility of today’s chair by adjoining my new point of view and the technology of molded plywood which has been established by manufactures.

A common chair is made with the technique focusing on the skill of joining pieces cut out from the solid wood.  For this design, the jointless frame all the way from the backrest to legs was made with the plywood, which is a layer of thin plywood as if it was a cutout piece of paper.  Although the frame is slender,  the curved line of the backrest and comfort volume of the seat will assure to fit your body, bringing comfortable stability.
The upholstery fabric cover for the seat is replaceable, expanding the possibility of everyday chair even more.

When designing a chair, my idea is that at least one new element must be proposed from the various point of view, in other words, a significant design must be shown to invite users to choose another chair even though they already have some of them.
