First, I was imagining how to design a wooden table with modern style while keeping the essentials of the table, a rectangular top board supported by four legs.
At a glance, these legs look a little bulky but the inside has a bold void, so they will appear quite different from another angle.
The legs, showing nice stability and lightness at the same time, are made with two thin layers of molded plywood. By this way, it turned out practicable to make structurally stable legs with less volume of materials.
Although such legs are not manufacturable without sophisticated molding skills, once assembled with a table top, the entire figure appears naturally as one big unit.
Bringing out the best of the natural wood texture, and using it efficiently and consequently seeking for the new technology for new styles. OLEA is one of the solutions for my challenge.
